Samuel “Sammy Baker’’ is a student athlete and CEO of Persevere Gear, LLC.

He began this journey when he became discouraged at his own endeavors of Speech and Debate, and basketball. Being very small in stature and usually the smallest student in class and sports team, Sammy wanted to quit both activities. 

During the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic Sammy knew he wanted to make a difference and was encouraged by his parents to do so. The term “PERSEVERE” became a running hashtag in the Baker household. After understanding the definition of the word Sammy decided to use this word to create a movement that would also inspire others.

He constantly reminds himself to remain prayerful, determined, focused, dream big and never quit no matter how challenging life may become. James 1:12.

His belief is that with God all things are possible.
